The Centre of Excellence (COE) and Gender-Responsive pedagogy Models

FAWE'S COE is a school that is academically, socially and physically gender-responsive. The GRP model trains teachers to become more gender aware and adopt teaching practices that promote equal treatment and participation of boys and girls in the classroom and within the wider school community.

Bursaries for Under-Privileged Girls

Poverty is a major cause of poor access to education, retention and completion for girls in sub-Saharan Africa. To address this limited access to quality basic education experienced by children living in rural and remote communities, we identify and support severely disadvantaged girls from such areas through our bursary programme

The Science, Mathematics and Technology Model (SMT)

Our Science, Mathematics and Technology (SMT) model aims to increase interest, participation and performance of girls in SMT subjects at all levels.

The Tuseme Youth Empowerment Model

Tuseme (Lets US Speak Out) is an empowerment Model that enables girls and boys to understand the problems that affect them, articulate these problems and take action to solve them; Through drama, song and creative arts, young people learn to Negotiation skills, how to speak out, self confidence, decision-making and leadership skills.

    We believe that through education of women and girls, livelihoods are improved for entire communities and civic education and liberties are enhanced. Educated girls become educated women who have the knowledge, skills and opportunity to play a role in governance and democratic processes and to influence the direction of their societies.
